Soony Wendy is a dedicated psychologist and a member of the National Suicide Prevention Committee in Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Kenyatta University, alongside certifications in HIV Testing Services and Project Management. Passionate about suicide prevention and management, she actively contributes to initiatives addressing emotional and psychological needs. Soony has extensive experience in crisis response, psychosocial support, and community resilience programs through her work with organizations such as the Kenya Red Cross Society, Mathari Teaching and Referral hospital, Psych X & Psychology for better Living Society. Her commitment to promoting mental health includes leading well-being strategies, facilitating therapy sessions, and training communities to address diverse challenges, including trauma, substance abuse, relationships/Marital issues, behavioral addictions such as gambling addiction, pornography and loss and grief counselling.
